Whale Shark

Smith Diving is going to dive Cozumel, Mexico and we would like you to join us. 8 days and 7 nights of world class diving paradise, plus the chance of a lifetime to snorkel with the gentle giants of the sea - whale sharks up to 40 feet long.

Cozumel has been a regular Smith Diving Destination for more than 20 years. We've run this summer trip to Cozumel the last 2 years and we've all had a great time.

This trip is perfect for divers of any level or experience, there are usually a few divers who get certified on one of our trips, and you'll find people on the boat who've been to "Coz" many times in the past. The island and its people make this as easy a Caribbean getaway as there is.

Music Room

We will be diving with the Scuba Shack, who have hosted our trips for many years. We will be staying across the street at the Village Tan Kah, a quaint little resort offering 8 rooms. There is a quiet little cabana just waiting for you.

Outside resort

The summer Cozumel trip offers the added advantage of an optional whale shark snorkel encounter. Whale sharks cruise the nearby waters during the summer months. The whale sharks are radio-tagged so location is not a problem. This is a fullfilling all-day side-trip to the north shore of the Yucatan Peninsula.

We have scheduled our trp to coincide with the full moon, the best time for big creature activity. The excursion includes transportation to to island of Holbox with a overnight stay at a beachside resort. After a relaxing evening we'll head out bright and early to snorkel with the whale sharks. We'll spend a few hours with some of the most beautiful and graceful animals in the sea. We'll be transported back to Cozumel the same day in time for dinner and possibly an evening dive to cap off the day.

The price for this excursion will be approximately $250.00.

Those participating in the whale shark trip will lose one day of boat diving.

Non-diver - subtract $200.00

$750.00 deposit due upon sign-up

On-trip Scuba Certification:

SCUBA DIVER CERTIFICATION - $400.00 (save $200.00) includes:
- Complete classroom/pool training at home prior to the trip.
- 5 Open-water training dives the first two days of your trip
- Instructor Fees
- Complete equipment rental for the entire week
- All registration fees.

NITROX DIVER CERTIFICATION - $125.00 (save $70.00) includes:
- Classroom training at home prior to the trip.
- 2 Open-water Nitrox dives for certification
- Nitrox fills in Cozumel for your 2 certification dives.
