Join us for Minnesota's oldest diving tradition.
The 27th Annual Treasure Dive is at Square Lake County Park on Sunday May 17, 2009. Everyone who dives for the event is entered into the drawing for the great list of prizes. Everyone who registers will recieve the world famous Smith Diving Treasure Dive T-Shirt!
Divers will search the lake bottom looking for "treasures". Unlike past years, the treasure your looking for is small enough to fit in your hand or pocket and you'll be able to collect as many as you can find (yeah, no bricks). Each "treasure" piece you find will get you another entry into the prize drawing.
We'll show you an example of this years "treasure piece" during the dive briefing the day of the event.
Also new this year - You and your buddy will be able to plan your own dive. You can look for treasure anywhere along the park side of the lake and dive as shallow or as deep as you'd like. The only rules are that you must dive in buddy teams, attend the pre-dive briefing at 12:30 pm, and all teams must dive with a regulation dive flag (MN law).
The dive(s) begin at 1:00 pm and all divers must be out of the water by 3:00 pm.
Dive teams may do more than one dive as long as they follow safe dive plans and are out of the water by 3:00 pm.
Bring the entire family --- Open to the Public
All are invited to remain for the big Smith Diving "Family" picnic after the dive.
Games --- Contests --- Raffles --- Picnic --- Prizes --- and much, much more!
Attention Moms and Dads: Special fun and games are planned for children!
