The NAUI Wreck Diver Certification Course is designed to give divers the knowledge, practical experiences and
skills needed to safely participate in this exciting, advanced underwater activity.
This course is limited to 5 students (dependant on the vessel chartered)

Topics for the 2 classroom sessions will include equipment, penetration procedures, use of lines and navigation, preparation and planning for wreck dives, wreck diving etiquette, finning techniques, hazards and contingency planning, mapping and more.
Pool training will include practice in emergency skills, line reel use, entanglement exercises, black mask exercises and much more.
Openwater dives for this course will consist of 4 dives aboard a chartered dive boat on Lake Superior. Dives typically take place on the wreck of the Thomas Wilson, a whale back schooner located just outside the Duluth shipping lanes.
As with all diving activities, open-water dives for the Wreck Diver class are dependant on weather & lake conditions.
