Nitrox Diver Specialty

Course Description

The NAUI Nitrox Diver Certification is the most comprehensive recreational nitrox course available.  This is not a one night workshop.
During this 3 session class you will learn the history of nitrox diving, the related physics, special equipment considerations, gas testing procedures and dive planning for mixed gas diving.
You will also plan, analyze for and dive two nitrox dives.
This course is limited to 6 student maximum.

Classroom Training

The classroom portion of this course includes 2-four hour sessions.  These sessions will include physics calculations for equivalent air depth, maximum operating depth, best mix calculations, equipment requirements and cleaning, gas blending procedures, and more.

Openwater Training

Openwater training  for Nitrox Certification requires 2 dives utilizing nitrox.  Each student will be required to plan these dives, and perform analyzing and logging procedures for their own fills.

All courses meet at Smith Diving for Classroom and travel a short distance for Pool work.
