Workshop Description

The Smith Diving Dry suit workshop is intended to give divers a basic understanding of dry suits, their use and maintenance. Most divers never experience the comfort & convenience of diving dry. In some parts of the world very few divers wear wetsuits at all. We believe that most divers in Minnesota should be diving dry. Divers can extend their diving season and have much more enjoyable dives by remaining dry.

This workshop (or it's equivalent) is required for dry suit rental.

This workshop is limited to 6 people (dependant on suit availability).

Classroom Training

Classroom topics include dry suit styles and materials available, suit selection, undergarments, weighting systems, entering & exiting the suit, troubleshooting dry suit problems, and dry suit maintenance.
This is a one session workshop.

Pool Training

Pool training consists of donning and doffing the suit, buoyancy control, water entry procedures, basic dry suit skills, and emergency procedures.

Scuba Certification
