Hey, my name is Josh Dexter and I got certified in the summer of 1993. I have been a Smith Diving employee since October, 1996 and went to full time a month later. I have just over 450 dives, not including pool work of course.
I really enjoy diving the Crosby mine pits and get up there when I can, I find the trees and good clarity nice for taking photos. My favorite dive anywhere would have to be a tie between Columbia deep and Columbia shallows in Cozumel. Columbia deep has these amazing pinnacles and sand chutes that are quite a site. Columbia shallow is so cool because of a max depth of 35 feet and coral formations up to 10 feet.
I find nothing better than a 30ft dive for over an hour with fish and coral the whole time, we usually see turtles there as a bonus.

My passion, besides teaching, is taking underwater pictures; I rarely dive without my camera these days. My last trip to Fiji was amazing for taking photos. There was an abundance of soft coral, small fish, lionfish, Blue Ribbon Eels and plenty of huge fan corals.
I often teach Refreshers, Drysuit, Basic Scuba with the occasional Checkouts, Intro and Snorkeling class. I do however get to run a dive vacation occassionally and I hope to have you on one of my trips so we can dive together.
